After questioning countless ~~six~~ students today on if they know who might the April Fools Day 'pranksters' might be, I am no closer to discovering them. I do, however, suspect that none other than Harry Potter might know. I also feel that Boyle and Drabbe should be taught about the history of Hufflepuff great house. Stupid gits. Hmmpf.

If anyone does have any idea who the mystery pranksters might be, please tell me! I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting the culprits found! And if I am... then... oh bugger off. I still need to question a few more ~~first years</i> people..~~

It seems those idiots Coyle and Grabbe have been shoving the head of various first years Hufflepuffs into various places where their little heads can fit (which is surprisingly a lot). Why only Hufflepuffs?! There are plenty of Ravenclaws with little heads that can be shoved into places, try picking on them for a change! Or even some Gryffindors, I mean, honestly! What's so alluring about us? It must be our winning charm that attracts ~~bullies~~ other houses to us to preform acts of jealously. Hmm.

I've been working on my Muggle Studies essay all day; we got to pick our own topics! I chose can openers, which are surprisingly very confusing things. I thought I was picking one of the easier topics.. but I guess I was wrong on that one. Huh. These 'can opener' devices are tricky little devils! They come in all shapes and sizes... Uuuugh! I'll have to ask Zacharias how to work them, I suppose. I borrowed one from my professor along with a can of instant soup (a type of food that's really watery), but it seems beating the can with the device doesn't work too well. I think I'll try poking at it next.

I'm not coming out of the dormitory! I have shamed the honorable house of Hufflepuff house and actually used that word for muggles! WHY DID I DO IT?! It was like I was under a spell... no, a bloody curse! When I find out who put that spell on me.. ooh! You're going to be in for it! I can't belive that I actually said all those things about everyone.

I feel awful.. I need to talk to Ernie.. He was really mad at me. But I honestly couldn't help it! Why did this of all things have to happen to me? WHYYYYY?!

I hate being a Hufflepuff! Why do I have to be one?! Why can't I be a sweet Slytherin, or great Gryffindor or... um... Ravishing Ravenclaw?! But noooo.. Bloody. Hufflepuff. I spent all of yesterday trying to get into the Ravenclaw House, but I just couldn't. It was awful. And to make thigns worse that complete prat, Smith, kept whining about how he had breasts!

Well la de da! So you have breasts now, get over it. Terry and Seamus weren't whining, they were beign very brave about it.. Just like you would expect a Ravenclaw and Gryffindor to be.... Why can't I be in those houses?

It's true! Zacharias told me all about it when I ~~demanded~~ asked if he would help me with my Muggle Studies homework. Electricity is a very complex subject, and he helped me clear things up. For one, contrary to popular belief, muggles actually don't wear suits made of metal and stand out in thunder storms to get the stuff that powers their homes!

But muggle folklore aside! When is the next Hogsmeade trip? The castle is getting so boring.. And besides, I really do need to get some shopping done. I need more ink and quills.. I also want to look at that new Weasley shop, it's in Hogsmeade, isn't it?

Duels are stupid. And so was Potter for pairing me with a Ravenclaw. Merlin's beard! Ravenclaws are a stuck up, snooty bunch, aren't they? Turnpink thought it would be alright if she could fall asleep during the duel, and Li.. hmmpf! Just when I was starting to think they were okay. Those boils her cast on me hurt, and while it was quite satisfying to see her suffer my bogey bat hex, it did not seem to make up for the pain~~, my teeth still hurt~~!

Still, it wasn't that bad, though Poor Zacharias was a mess afterwards, it seemed. I'll still go to the meetings ~~and still force Zacharias to come~~, I mean, there is always something new we could learn, right?

I wonder where Megan and Hannah have been lately..

We beat them! Way to go team! That was bloody wicked seeing those cheating Gryffindors loose like that. I was cheering on for the team as loud as I could along with Hannah and Megan. It was a really good match, but what made it even better was that.. we won, of course!!

I have to remember to meet up with Zacharias and congratulate him on his moves. C'mon, Zacharias, you don't need to go into hiding like last time.. You didn't even need to hide then.

I heard Loony Lovegood's paper got trashed, that's too bad. Even if she's completely off her rocker, there's really no need to be so cruel. Sheesh. I didn't even get a chance to ~~owl her for advice~~ read it.. and I heard it was supposed to be a good one this time, too...

Oh. Merlin. The final competition for Magical Idol! is this Friday!! It's going to be that Irish bloke agianst the twins, and I'm rooting for the twins to win. They have so much more talent than that other idiot, who I think only made it because of his looks. I'm so excited!

Did you know that Finnigean and Turpin also found themselves in that blasted Room of Riddles?! It looks like we're not alone in this. You know, if you wanted I'm sure we could ask them about it..

Christmas has come and gone... and the ball is drawing closer. I still really want to go, but since Zacharias doesn't seem to care.. ~~perhaps I should ask somebody else~~. The holidays have been nice, and I can't say I'm eager for school to begin agian, I mean.. what am I? Some kind of Ravenclaw? Honestly.

The Gryffindor Tower is a lot warmer than the Huffle's section of the school.

I wish I could have gone home for the holidays.. but mum and dad thought it would be best if I stayed at Hogwarts.. Ugh..

So. The ball. I'm going with Zacharias ~~if I hear any snide comments.. I swear I'll hex you~~. However!! I have encountered a problem. Yes. A problem. A big problem. Somehow, though I haven't figured it out yet... NIFFLERS GOT INTO THE GRYFFINDOR GIRLS DORMITORIES!

Now. You may be wondering, 'But Susan! How does this affect you?' I'll tell you how it affects me! The stupid.. THINGS.. got into my trunk and demolished my dress robes that I had just gotten not two days before hand. Ruined! Completely! Yes.. Mum wasn't too happy about that.

She sent me a howler during dinner. I wanted to magic myself up a hole, crawl into it and die! The Slytherin table kept laughing and pointing.. ~~and are now calling me Susan the Niffed~~.

Whoever put those nifflers in the dormitories... I will find you!!

Let's see.. I wonder what colour would look best on me? A rosey brown sort of colour perhaps? Hm.. not sure. Shall have to get Mum to help me with that, I soppse.

I'm so excited about the upcoming Qudditch match!! Hannah and I are going to be there cheering the team on to victory! Zacharias says the team has been practicing extra hard for the match, so I suspect it's going to be quite a show. Go Hufflepuff!!

So Patil is back, that's good, I guess. And there's a ball coming up, as well. Megan said she's going with Ernie, I don't have anyone to go with ~~unless I drag Zacharias along~~oh well, I except it'll still be fun. Hopefully there will be moore Magical Idol! contestants!! That would be so... rad (a muggle word I learned today!).

I have to get to selecting my outfit for the ball now.. hmm... rose pink or pale blue robes?

Hannah doesn't belive me.. I told her what went on in the room and she did was look at me like I was insane. It's a bit sad when your best friend doesn't belive you.

Zazcharias is still ~~madly~~ researching it.. but no information has come up. I wish that Ganger girl wasn't ill. She might know something about it. ~~And there's no way I'm asking the Ravenclaws for help.~~

And that Patil girl hasn't been around for a few days.. wonder where she could be. Probably got into a fight with something in the Forbidden Forest. Hmmpf. ~~She would deserve it.~~

Mum sent me some really cool Muggle clothing today! She said she saw them in the window of some oldish looking place and thought I would love them... They're really cute, and according to my class they were fashionable for Muggle girls in the 20's. I love Muggle clothing!

And will people stop bashing Magical Idol! already?! Look, it's a good show, they don't just focus on singing but on magical abilities as well.. ~~stupid stuffy Ravenclaws~~

Sprout didn't let me go to Hogsmeade.. I missed all the fun, I guess. I spent the time with Hannah and Justin, neither of which wanted to go anyways, instead and played a few games of wizard's chess. Didn't see Zacharias anywhere, I suppose he was off brooding somewhere.

Things have been rather quiet lately, maybe things will pick up soon.

Some Ravenclaw girl, Padma I think, called Zacharias a prat the other day.. ~~all right, so he is one, but still~~! I'm so happy I'm not staying with them. Think they're smarter than us, hmmf. What a load of stuck up prats.. I mean honestly!

Anways, after I was insulted by those Ravenclaw girls I left to try and study in an empty classroom. Which didn't work as well as I hoped because Peeves soon found me and pelted me with pumpkins!! Ugh, talk about your bad days, hopefully this next week will fare better.

Things have been going the same as always, I guess. I can't believe Halloween is almost here! I'm so excited, the Halloween Feast is my favourite, not sure why, but it is! Not even Christmas can compare, in my opinion, at least!

It seems Zach has ~~started his complaining aigan~~ been a bit upset lately.. I wonder why. I must remember to ask him about it.

Excited about Hogsmeade this weekend, I suppose msot everyone else. Hmm.. Not much else to say really..

It's all been said before, but I suppose there's no harm in stating the obvious; I'm shocked that Draco's father is our new DADA proffesor! I'm really worried about this, even though Slytherin's dislike Gryffindors the most.. it's us Hufflepuffs that get picked on the most.. I guess that means this is going to be a pretty tough year for us. Unfair.

We're all moved in with the Gryffindors now, they've all been really, really nice, too. Our common rooms are pretty similar, except our colours are different, and our chairs are much more comfy and soft, the problem with them is that I end up falling asleep when I'm trying to study! Shouldn't be a problem in these chairs though, they're comfy but not too comfy!

And it seems I've lost my favourite quill.. I hope nobody takes it..

So we're moving in with Gryffindor house, sounds like fun. I'm up for it, a few of the others seem grummbly about it, but most of us are pleased. I've always wondered what their common rooms look like, but have a lot of scarlet I imagine.. Hmm..

Classes have been the same as always, still doing awful in potions. It's hard to remember all those complicated instructions with Professor Snape breathing down our necks. Ugh..

Oh well.. Not much else to say, eh?
